NTFF partners with PUP for disaster relief

MANILA CITY | May 29, 2025 – Following a devastating fire in Barangay 628, Sta. Mesa, the NYK-TDG Friendship Foundation (NTFF) mobilized essential in-kind donations to support the recovery of displaced families.

The fire, which broke out on May 19 at the NDC Compound, affected 215 families—totaling over 750 individuals. In response to the urgent need for aid, NTFF turned over relief goods, including hygiene kits and clothing for both adults and children.

To ensure the aid reached the community effectively, the foundation partnered with the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) Office of the Student Regent (OSR). The OSR will facilitate the direct distribution of these items to their neighboring community in Barangay 628. By channeling resources through community-based organizations, NTFF continues to provide immediate relief and hope to families as they begin the difficult process of rebuilding.
